Visual interviews of elder African born women living in Britain; shared and amplified through audio, photography and prose.
This is an opportunity to get to know and experience a group of people that are poorly understood in British society. Most recently stereotyped by the media as ‘the aunties’, they left the continent some time ago, and still travel back consistently. They are both here and there, but what are their stories? I believe their community and the wider society will be richer for knowing them.
